Recorded in St Fin Barre's Cathedral just before the Coronavirus pandemic struck, this CD features many much loved canticles, anthems and motets. This CD has been recorded as part of the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Consecration of the current Cathedral building which took place on St Andrew's Day (30th November) 1870.
Part of the 150th celebrations was the running of a composition competition to compose a new setting of the Evensong canticles Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis which was won by Cheltenham-born composer Nicholas O'Neill. Both canticles are sung to the new setting on this CD.
